Your Beverly Hills Shopping TripHead to the Golden Triangle/Rodeo Drive district for some "un-mall" shopping fun
If shopping in Beverly Hills seems a bit nostalgic...well, it should! The Beverly Hills shopping district was developed many years ago, before malls were "invented." Shopping on Main Streets throughout the country was just "what people did." A lot of "yesterday" remains in the Beverly Hills shopping district today...which adds to the charm of the area. Do you remember what it was like before malls and superstores came along, extending shopping hours until 9 pm...or even later? Stores used to close in the late afternoon...which is still the practice in many Beverly Hills stores, which close around 5 to 7 pm. Do you remember when saving change to feed parking meters was something that always stayed in the back of your mind? Well, Beverly Hills still has on-street parking meters, and you'll need to save your quarters to feed them! (Of course, there are parking lots, as well...both self-parking and valet. We'll talk about parking lot locations at the end of this page.) For awhile, when indoor shopping malls were the rage, the Beverly Hills shopping district seemed rather quaint. Of course, times change, and now it's OUTDOOR malls that are ultra-popular in Southern California. And, the Beverly Hills district can seem like one giant outdoor mall, with stores beckoning you from every direction! Beverly Hills Shopping -- Beverly DriveIn Beverly Hills, the most popular shopping district is called the "Golden Triangle" (or simply "The triangle") because it's laid out in the shape of a triangle....bordered by the streets of Wilshire Boulevard, Santa Monica Blvd, and Crescent Ave. While Rodeo Drive is the most famous of the shopping streets in this area, its sister street, Beverly Drive, seems more vibrant and "fun." Families gravitate to Beverly Drive for the several delightful children's shops ono the street. Plus, as a tourist to Southern California, you might just find yourself on Beverly Drive, anyway...because that's where the delightful Museum of Television and Radio can be found. The Museum of Television and Radio address is: 465 N. Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills, CA. The Museum of Television and Radio phone number is: 310/786-1025. This is the telephone number for recorded info about the museum, including hours of operation and ticket prices. (As of this writing, entrance to the museum costs $10/adults and $5/youth age 14 and under. Of course, you may wish to check the current prices immediately before making your visit.) For further information about the interesting attractions you'll find at the Museum of TV & Radio, you may use the following link to view the

Beverly Hills Shopping -- Rodeo Drive
Just one block west of Beverly Drive, you'll find the famous Rodeo Drive shopping street. This attractive shopping area, which opened in the early 1990's, was made to resemble a quaint European village street.
