In the photo to your left, you see a production in progress at the Camp Snoopy Theater...themed, of course, around our Peanuts friends. But the theater isn't the last we'll see of the Peanuts gang, for many of the rides themselves are cleverly themed after the Peanuts gang. Note: If you're looking for information about Camp Snoopy in the Mall of America, that cute little theme park has closed. There is now a Nickelodeon indoor theme park in its place. Camp Snoopy -- Rides & AttractionsSnoopy's Gr8 Skate; Snoopy's Bounce House; Snoopy's Camp Bus
The Camp Snoopy Bus is ready to whisk the Peanuts friends off to summer camp in California's High Sierras---and you and your children can join them.First the bus lifts into the air, and then it circles forwards, round and round. Next, it circles you around again, but backwards this time. Adults are welcome to accompany their small fry on the Camp Snoopy Bus. Ride restriction rules for the Camp Snoopy Bus are as follows: Babies not allowed; toddlers should be able to stand on their own. Children under 42" of height must be accompanied by a responsible older sibling or adult. Expectant mothers may not ride. When the children arrive at the Bounce House, they'll need to take off their shoes. Next, a park attendant---dressed in a Camp Counselor outfit---lines the kiddies up for entry and explains the rules. Then, the kids get 5 minutes of bouncing fun! (And, no, they're not even tired when the time is over!) Note: there is a maximum height of 54" allowed for children to enter the Shoopy Bounce House. Visitors to Camp Snoopy at Knotts Berry Farm will board seats atop a GIANT skateboard. As the tail end of the skateboard moves up into the air, the ride car and screaming riders lunge forwards. And then, when the nose of the skateboard lifts up into the air, all the riders go sailing backwards! Riders on Joe Cool's GR8 SK8 must be between 36" and 80" tall. Expectant moms may not board. Next door to Joe Cool's GR8 SK8 ride, you'll find the Lucy's Lunchbox Restaurant. In addition to serving meals, Lucy's Lunchbox has a birthday party room upstairs, which you can reserve if you'd like to throw your child a Camp Snoopy birthday party. NOTE! For info about planning a Knott's birthday bash, please visit the Knotts Berry Farm Birthday Parties page of this site! More Camp Snoopy Rides!Red Baron Airplanes, Woodstock's Airmail, a Ferris wheel, & a mini roller coaster await you!
In this next photo, you see Snoopy's Red Baron airplane ride. This one's for the kiddies only. They'll circle a central hub, and use a guide stick to raise and lower their planes as they fly. Each plane seats two passengers---one in the front, and one in the back. Note: children must be between the heights of 32" and 54" in order to ride the Red Baron plane ride.
Remember Snoopy's little friend, a little bird named Woodstock? Well, Woodstock has his own ride in Camp Snoopy at Knotts Berry Farm, too. Here it is---Woodstock's Airmail. Like Sylvester's Pounce and Bounce, which you read about in the Six Flags Magic Mountain module, Woodstock's Airmail seats about a half dozen children in its ride car. After being safely harnessed in, the car lifts the kiddies up into the air and drops them down again, bouncing, bouncing, bouncing them up and down several times before the ride comes to a stop once again. Riders must be a minimum height of 36" tall to board Woodstock's Airmail ride; expectant mothers are not allowed. Children must be a minimum of 48" in height to ride the Sierra Ferris Wheel unaccomapnied. Children between 36" and 48" tall may ride, but only if accompanied by a responsible adult. Children must sit on the seat of the ferris wheel...no riding in parents' laps allowed! Kids must reach a minimum height of 36" tall before they're allowed to ride; adults must not exceed 69" tall (5' 9") to accompany their children. Expectant moms are not allowed to ride. Yes, MORE Camp Snoopy rides & attractions!
A "macho" kiddie driving experience is the Rocky Road Truckin' Company ride in Camp Snoopy at Knotts Berry Farm. Once again, kids take the wheel, but this time they get to chauffer Mom and Dad, who sit uptop in the back. The trucks went their way through a beautiful, tree-enshrouded path, circling once around back to the loadiing station. Children must be 42" in height (or taller) to ride unaccompanied on the Rocky Road Truckin' Co. vehicles. Children under 42" must be accompanied by a responsible older sibling or adult. Expectant mothers should not ride. The bouncing bridge is part of a lovely wooded scenic area in Camp Snoopy. The many trees and the little lakes support the theme that "Charlie Brown, Snoopy and their friends have gone to summer camp." 1.) The Charlie Brown Speedway has tiny little cars for your small fry to drive around an oval track. Children under 42" must be accompanied to ride. 2.) Flying Ace Balloon Race: Adults can step into the basket of a colorful "hot air balloon" with their children and take off for the skies. The ride gently revolves around a central hub, going up in the air and coming down again. Children under 36" must be accompanied by an older sibling or adult. Expectant moms MAY ride this one!
3.) The Grand Sierra Scenic Railroad, a small train which circles around Reflection Lake before heading back to the station. The whole family is welcome on this train ride. Children under 46" must be accompanied; pregnant women MAY ride.
4.) The Log Peeler, a mini-version of the Wilderness Scrambler that you'll find in the White Water Wilderness section of the park. This tiny, gentler version of the Scrambler ride is just for the kiddies. Riders must be between 32" and 48" to ride.
5.) Lucy's Tugboat is a large, tugboat-shaped ride car that fits the whole family (see photo above to your left.) It goes back & forth along a ride pathway which looks much like a skateboarder's half pipe. 7.) The River Racers, a coin-operated attraction in which you can remotely control a little boat out on a pond. (Since the River racers aren't a ride, there are no rules and restrictions to mention about them.) 8.) The Walter K Steamboat, which makes a circle cruise of Reflection Lake with the whole family aboard. Children under 46" tall must be accompanied. Expectant mothers MAY ride. 9.) Woodstocks Cars are a remote-control car attraction; no restrictions.
