A convenient older mall in Southern San Diego County
The Chula Vista Center is a conveniently located mall for visitors passing through southern San Diego County. Located not far off of Interstate 5, this Chula Vista mall is easily found by a quick side-trip east on H Street...almost a "can't get lost" proposition for guests new to the area.
Another big joy of the Chula Vista Center is its ease of getting in to do your shopping quickly...and out again just as fast. On a day when you'd be still fighting your way into the parking lot of the ultra-popular Fashion Valley Mall, you could already be walking down the aisles of your favorite department store in the Chula Vista Center. That's not to say the Chula Vista Center doesn't get crowded at times...predictably on Saturdays and during major shopping rushes, such as Christmas time and back-to-school shopping weekends. It's just that you'll find slow times here, too...which is great for people who hate crowds.
The Chula Vista Mall has an "identity crisis" going on. It's part old & somewhat ugly. It's part shiny and new.
Nevertheless, the mall's looks don't dampen the quality of the merchandise sold here, nor do they take away from the fact that you'll have a choice of 4 versatile department stores where you can shop...not to mention the many specialty stores.
If you just want to do some no-nonsense shopping at reasonable prices, then the Chula Vista Center might be a good choice of mall for you!

The Chula Vista Mall is served by 3 department stores---JC Penney's, Macy's, and Sears. All three offer complete clothing departments for your family, as well as many items for your home. Other than the major department stores, there aren't many shops catering to the needs of children at the Chula Vista Center. Luckily, all three department stores---JC Penney's, Macy's, and Sears---feature a large selection of children's merchandise...both clothing and home decor.

The Children's Place offers clothing for kids from babies to toddlers to tweens (to approximately 12 years of age.) The Children's Place sells clothing for both boys and girls.
