Coach stores--An interesting history
Coach is a classic American company which started out in 1941 by offering a few styles of deluxe leather handbags.The company's founder, a sports fan, noticed how baseball gloves softened with age...actually becoming more valuable over time than when they were new. He wondered why women's handbags, men's valises and the like, couldn't be made so that they, too, became more lustrous and supple over time...rathern than becoming old and worn-out. He set to work tinkering with improving design and leather tanning methods...and invented the Coach line of products that have grown in popularity with every passing year.
To this day, Coach continues to process its leather goods in a very special manner. This process starts with the selection of the leather pieces themselves...with only the pieces with the best grain and color tones being selected. Coach tans the leathers themselves, using their own special formula of tanning ingredients...designed to bring out the maximum beauty to the leather without causing damage. A "slow curing" method is used, which means that Coach takes its time tanning the leather over a period of many days...rather than using chemicals to speed up the process.
The result is that Coach leather goods do not last simply months...but, rather, you'll wear them proudly for years, if you like! Some users report still having Coach leather goods that are several DECADES old. While some Coach customers may not be interested in the longevity of their purses or wallets...prefering to keep up with the changing trends...other customers will see the trait of product longevity as both a money-saving feature, and as evidence of products which are extremely well-made and high-quality.
