Out-of-state vacationers to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California might think of the Downtown Disney District as being simply an "extra bonus" while visiting Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure. Many locals, however, see the Downtown Disney District in Anaheim as being a true family entertainment destination in itself---and that's the way it was MEANT to be. Even if you're not visiting the Disney theme parks on this particular family vacation, there's no reason why you can't enjoy Down Town Disney! Make it a destination in and of itself.And, why NOT? The Edward's Cinema Multiplex is the star attraction at the Irvine Spectrum...and there will be plenty for you to do while you await your movie. Many popular restaurants are on-site at the Irvine Spectrum, as well as snack stops and interesting stores through which to browse. Although the Spectrum began life strictly as an entertainment complex, recent additions---such as the Robinson's May department store and a location of Target---have begun to give visitors to the Irvine Spectrum an all-around shopping experience.
