Del Mar: The Scream Zone-- Every October, the Del Mar Fairgrounds turns into the Del Mar "Scare-grounds!" Events at the Del Mar Scream Zone include scary Haunted House walk-throughs and a Haunted Hay Ride. Dates for the 2011 Del Mar Fairgrounds Halloween event have already been announced. They well be Friday, September 30th; Saturday, October 1; Thursday thru Sunday, October 6, 7, 8, 9; Thursday thru Sunday, October 13, 14, 15, 16; Thursday thru Monday, October 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31st, Halloween night. What time does the Del Mar Scream Zone open? Opening time is 7 pm on every night that the event is running. Closing time will be either 11 pm or midnight, depending on which night you choose. (On Fridays & Saturdays, the Scream Zone closes at Midnight; all other evenings, the closing time will be 11 pm.) Military and Groupo discount tickets (for 20 or more) are available, but not at the gate. Military discount tickets are available on base, while the group discount tickets are available for advance purchase onlin. Del Mar Scream Zone address & website: The Del Mar Fairgrounds Scream Zone address is 2260 Jimmy Durante Boulevard, Del Mar, CA 92014, just off the Via de la Valle exit of I-5. 3.) Los Angeles Haunted Hayride-- Is everything scarier outdoors on a dark night? That's what the Haunted Hayride believes...and they would like nothing better than the chance to terrorize you! This year, the popular Haunted Hayride moves from Calabasas to Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Where in Griffith Park? At the old zoo location. There's actually more going on than just the hayride. You may also try to escape from their eerie Hay Maze...or stroll through their Halloween carnival. Ontario: Scandia family fun center's Haunted House-- All year long, your family can enjoy playing miniature golf and going on rides at the Scandia Fun Center in Ontario. Pasadena: Old Town Haunt-- Creepy things are happening in Pasadena...the foul smell of decay, mysterious shreiks, and missing persons. Thousand Oaks: Reign of Terror Haunted House--Here's a special haunted house that's had a significant amount of community volunteer effort go into its creation.
