What else can you do at Fashion Island for entertainment? If your children have already seen the latest family-friendly movie, there are still more fun things to do at Fashion Island.Kids will also LOVE the fact that there's a Build A Bear Workshop at Fashion Island! At Build A Bear Work Shop, kids can pick the cute "shell" of a plush animal...which they'll then stuff with fluff (with an employee's help, of course!) Next, kids pick an outfit from the dozens available, and dress their bears, unicorns, cats, puppies...or whatever animal they've chosen. And, of course, kids must name their new Furry Friends...and get birth certificates for their new pets!

Children's clothing, accessories and toys at Fashion Island used to have a higher priority that they do these days. The mall's carousel has been removed, and the number of stores for kids has dwindled. Therefore, this page no longer has a "children's shops" list...and you'll find the kid's stores mixed in with the list of shops for adults & teens (which is further down on this page.)

The Fashion Island Mall plays host to some great full-service restaurants. In addition, Fashion Island has not only one, but TWO food courts! Further, various snacking spots are scattered throughout the various lanes of the outdoor mall itself.In the photo to your left, you see the Haagen Dazs Ice Cream shop...which sits by a playful, squirting fountain that kids love to watch. It makes a fun place to sit as you nibble on your ice cream treat.
In the picture to your right, you see the Atrium Food Court, which you'll find near the Bloomingdale's Home Store. (There is a second, smaller Food Court near the Edwards Island 7 Theaters.)

Fashion Island Mall hours of operation: In general, hours at Fashion Island are as follows--- Mondays thru Fridays, the mall opens at 10 am and closes at 9 pm. The mall's stores open at 10 am and close at 7 pm on Saturdays. And on Sundays, the shopping center's opening time is 11 am, while its closing time is 6 pm. Directions to Fashion Island Mall: For a coastal drive, get on California Hwy 1, the Pacific Coast Highway, and head towards Newport Beach. The main entrance to the mall is on PCH, marked by signs, green lawns and an attractive row or palm trees. You can't miss it unless you're driving half asleep!
To arrive via Interstate, get onto the 73 freeway; there are exits for the 73 freeway from Interstate 405, I-5 and the 55 Freway. (Note: The 73 Freeway can be a toll road, depending on where you're coming from.) Take the MacArthur Blvd exit and head south/west towards the ocean. There's a side entrance to the mall from MacArthur Boulevard.
