The High School Musical & High School Musical 2 movies have been extremely popular Disney Original Movies. They were greeted with much anticipation when they aired on the Disney Channel cable TV station. Then, when the two movies were released to DVD and video, their appearance caused a frenzy of movie-buying!
Now, High School Musical 3 is in the works---and will go into movie theaters in October, 2008! With millions of fans already eager to see it, this hotly-awaited new High School Musical movie is absolutely CERTAIN to be a hit! But, you don't have to wait until October to get in on some terrific High School Musical fun! The High School Musical 2 Parade at Disney's California Adventure Park is performing regularly...and just waiting for YOU to join the fun! 
The Disney California Adventure has placed the High School Musical 2 parade into a regularly scheduled slot for the months of Spring & Summer 2008. If you haven't yet decided whether or not to see it...why not give it a try? Its upbeat music, relentless cheer---and the cute kids from the crowd with whom the High School Musical Parade's cast members interact---are nearly certain to leave you grinning from ear to ear!
You'll want to check the Disney California Adventure theme park schedule as you enter the turnstiles. When the parade is performing, it gives several performances per day. The parade marches down DCA's traditional parade route, making several stops along the way. At these times, the stage comes to life, the music & dancing begin...and the onlookers begin smiling, clapping with the music, and even singing along!

Singers sing, dancers dance...and even if you've never heard the High School Musical movie songs before, you'll be swaying to the music and tapping your feet! Only a grouch could NOT be beguiled by the infectuous enthusiasm of the smiling High School Musical parade cast...and caught up in the rhythm of its tunes. In the pics above, you'll see members of the High School Musical 2 parade cast dancing and singing. Some wear Wild Cats sports uniforms or cheerleading outfits. Others wear casual clothing. Some cast members stick mainly on the "stage" (which is the parade's one "float.") And even MORE cast members take to the streets dancing, clapping, singing...and interacting with the crowds lining the streets of Disney's California Adventure!

The High School Musical parade pictures on this page were taken during one of its December 2007 performances. Of course, I couldn't post picture of other people's little kids getting involved with the performance, so the photos above are all of the HS Musical Parade cast members.
One of the biggest joys of the parade, however, is seeing kids from the crowd interacting with the cast members! At 3 different times during the performance, kids may leave their places in the audience to get into the center of the action! Sometimes the kids dance with cast members. Or do the limbo! It's a perfect photo opportunity for parents...and something that some of the kids may remember all their lives.
In the photo above, you can see High School Musical 2 Parade cast members using buckets as props during the show. Those are far from the only props used! As you've seen in the slide show pics, baseball equipment, limbo bars...and even long pieces of fabric used to re-create ocean waves...are used as part of the performance.
To your right, you see a picture of the High School Musical Parade Float heading down the street as the first performance is about to begin. While some of the cast members stand on the float waving to the onlookers as it moves along, even more of the young men and women march and dance ahead of the float. They seem to be enjoying their parts as singers, dancers and actors in the parade...every bit as much as the audience enjoys watching it!
