Toys For Tots at Knotts Berry Farm

Knott's Berry Farm's Toys for Tots discount program is an annual event! It's coming up again during December, 2011 as part of Knott's Christmas celebration.

DECEMBER 3rd thru 18th ARE THE DAYS in 2011 THAT YOU MAY ENTER KNOTT'S BERRY FARM FOR "FREE" or at a good discount by purchasing a gift for the Toys for Tots program...and then donating it to Knott's Berry Farm.

Should you purchase your Toys for Tots gift BEFORE you get to the theme park? You can, if you wish, but be careful. The minimum amount for the toy you purchase has gone up to $20 this year; it has been $15 for the past several years. Also, the park has become very strict about this donation program because in the past, too many people have tried to pass off used toys as new ones! And, they've tried to pass off toys from the Dollar Store as expensive gifts! As a result, Knott's Berry Farm now says that you MUST bring your receipt to the park; no exceptions. Your receipt should say when and where you purchased the toy, and how much you paid for it. When you bring a toy that you've purchased elsewhere, you'll receive a voucher to buy a Knott's theme park ticket for a DISCOUNT price of $20...and NOT a free ticket. The total price for one person will be $40, then.

There are 2 other methods of participating in this program that are cheaper: (1) Buying your gift at Knott's Park and (2) purchasing a special Toys for Tots ticket online for $20. You may read about how to do this in the next 2 paragraphs.

Can you purchase your toy at Knott's Berry Farm? Yes, there will be a selection of toys available that are the exact price that your donation needs to be...which is $20. These are very nice toys that any child would enjoy getting. Because these toys are purchased in bulk at special prices, you can give a very nice toy for your donation this way. With every toy you purchase at the Knott's Marketplace stores, you will get one FREE admission to the park that day. (In other words, you will need to buy a $20 toy for everyone in your group; buying one toy WON'T get your entire family into the park. The only exception is for kids age 2 and under; for babies, admission to Knott's Berry Farm is always free.)

Purchasing a Toys for Tots ticket online: For the price of a $20 Toys for Tots ticket, the park will pick out a toy & donate it FOR you. Then you don't have to worry about standing in any lines at all! Technically, the price of your Toys for Tots ticket goes towards buying the toy...and your admission ends up being FREE!

This event is much more than getting a free day at Knott's Park---it's a way to help people in your very own neighborhood to celebrate a brighter Christmas!

Knott's Berry Farm Christmas Crafts Fair

Once again, the "Ghost Town" section of Knott's will be turned into a Winter Wonderland. You'll be able to stroll past display after display of the finest handcrafted items that Knott's Berry Farm could scout out. PLUS, all the "regular" Knott's Ghost Town stores will be open, as well, showing off the Christmas time version of their beautiful wares. It's a holiday shopper's paradise!

Admission to the Knotts Berry Farm Christmas Crafts Fair comes included with your admission ticket to the theme park. In addition, the park will be offering "Crafts Fair Only" tickets again this year. (IF you visit Knott's Berry Farm any Monday through Friday during the holiday season, you may purchase a special low-priced Christmas Crafts Fair-ONLY ticket. For only $10, you may enjoy the crafts fair...plus see Santa, enjoy the carolers, and see the special shows being offered in the Ghost Town section of the park. However, on weekends---Saturdays and Sundays---you will need to purchase a regular theme park ticket, because the cheap Crafts Village admission isn't available on weekends.)

With your Crafts Fair Admission you'll also be able to visit Santa Claus during the days & hours when he's at the park. (Santa settles into Ghost Town near the Crafts Village whenever he visits Knott's Park.) You'll also be able to hear the strolling Christmas Carolers on the dates/times that they're performing, and see the Christmas stage plays at the Bird Cage Theater during their scheduled holiday performances, as well. Oh---and don't forget that you'll also be able to enjoy beautiful Christmas decorations...and sparkling twinkly lights after dark, too! In other words, you'll pack in lots of family fun for a very affordable price!

The Snoopy Christmas Holiday Ice Show is back!

As always, you'll be able to see the adorably-costumed Snoopy character and his friends from the Peanuts comic strip whirling and twirling over the ice! Snoopy's ice show is a spectacular event that's fun for the entire family, from toddlers and preschoolers to Grandma and Grandpa!

For 2011, Snoopy's Ice Skating Show at Knott's will be held on selected dates throughout the Christmas holiday season through December 30th. Showtimes for the popular Peanuts Character ice skating show will be held at 1pm, 3pm and 5 pm; and extra 7pm show will be added to this schedule on Saturdays. You should know that long lines form for the ice show 'way before each performance! You'll have to plan ahead if you want to see it, because if you come to the door at showtime, the auditorium will already be full.

The cost of Snoopy's Christmas Ice Show at Knott's Berry Farm couldn't be better---it comes FREE with your park admission!

Peanuts merchandise at Knott's Berry Farm: If you love Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Linus, Lucy and the other Peanuts kids, remember that you will find some of the most extensive collections of Peanuts themed merchandise on planet Earth at Knotts Berry Farm! In the Camp Snoopy section of the Knotts theme park, there is an entire store devoted to Peanuts character merchandise. Also, in the California Marketplace...just outside of the theme park entrance...you will LOVE looking through the Snoopy Headquarters store, as seen in the photo to your right.

Mrs Knotts Christmas Dinner To Go

The Mrs. Knott's Take-out Christmas Meal includes enough food for 6 to 8 adults. You'll have a choice of either a roast turkey dinner (featuring a succulent 10 to 12 pound bird) or a juicy ham dinner (in which case, you'll get a 8 to 10 pound ham.)

For side dishes, your Mrs. Knott's take-home meal will include mashed potatos and gravy; yams with marshmallow topping; a cooked vegetable; one dozen of Mrs. Knott's famous yeast-raised rolls with butter and Knott's Jams; pickles; plus your choice of either a Knott's boysenberry pie (a specialty at Mrs Knott's Restaurant!) or a traditional pumpkin pie.

To get your feast, you'll have to order in advance---any time after Thanksgiving until a week before Christmas (at the latest!) Then, you'll need to arrive at the Mrs. Knott's Chicken Restaurant on December 24th to pick up your meal (as the restaurant won't be open on Christmas Day itself.)

To pre-order your Mrs Knott's feast to go, you should , phone number (714) 220-5006. Simply mention that you would like to order the Christmas Feast. You may make your reservation...or simply ask more questions you might have about this delicious dinner. NOTE: The Mrs. Knott's take-home feast is also available for Thanksgiving, as well. The price is $89.95.

* Or, if you don't want to order an entire feast, you can get one of Mrs Knott's special boysenberry pies, a pumpkin pie, or any one of a large selection of pies and cakes at the Knott's Berry Farm Bakery! (Quite a variety of other treats are sold here, as well...like brownies, croissants, cookies and sweet rolls.)

You can even get a made-to-order theme cake, decorated by the professional cake decoraters at the Knott's Farm Bakery! To order your specialty cake, or to ask other questions of the bakery staff, you should call directly to the Knott's Berry Farm Bakery, phone number 714/220-5094. Or, you can head down to the bakery in-person. The bakery sits just to the side of Mrs. Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant in the California Marketplace section of Knott's Berry Farm.
