Unlike the "premium" outlets we've discussed on the last several pages of this section, the Lake Elsinore Outlets don't focus on selling clothing by the world's top high-end designers.

You won't be able to buy Prada here...nor Gucci, Hugo Boss, or Versace. On the other hand, you WILL find good quality labels...including a FEW famous designers...and plenty of bargains!

Not only does the Lake Elsinore Outlet Center focus on "middle class" type stores (instead of ritzy shops), this outlet center also to brings down its prices because this mall is "out in the middle of nowhere," so to speak. The crowds are less at this mall simply because it's location is out-of-the-way....meaning that there's a greater selection of merchandise left when sale time comes around!

The Lake Elsinore Outlets are conveniently located...directly to the side of Interstate 15 between metro Los Angeles and San Diego. Most traffic arrives to the mall via the interstate. However, if you'll be coming from Orange County, there's a great scenic route to Lake Elsinore which is fun to travel. Called the Ortega Highway, California Hwy 74 cuts through the mountains east of San Juan Capistrano and takes you through some of California's untouched natural terrain. Then, you'll make a final descent into the town of Lake Elsinore as a stunning vista of the lake stays in your view! The lake can provide your family with some boating or jet skiing fun after you shop...or maybe you'd like to do a little camping on the lake shore while you're in the Lake Elsinore area!

How to find the city of Lake Elsinore: Before we even begin to talk about an address for the mall, we'd better talk about how to get to the town of Lake Elsinore...which is small enough that not everyone from the larger Southern California cities has heard of it! Lake Elsinore can be reached by a scenic, 2-lane road from San Juan Capistrano in Orange County. This road is California 74, also known as the Ortega Highway. (The Ortega Highway is accessed from Interstate 5 in San Juan Capistrano; the exit for this highway is well-marked from I-5.)

You can also reach the little city of Lake Elsinore coming south from Ontario or Corona, California on Interstate 15 (or northwards from Temecula, Escondido & San Diego on I-15, as well.)
