The Long Beach Towne Center has a modern Edwards Stadium Theater with an unbelieveable 26 screens! In addition, the cinema is surrounded by both fast food snackeries and table-service restaurants. The both the entertainment and shopping sections of this large plaza feature attractive architecture and pretty landscaping, and there's a sea of free parking.
The Long Beach Towne Center isn't a mall; it's a "big box" or "power" center, which features a number of huge stores (like Walmart, Sam's Club, Lowe's Home Improvement) collected together in one shopping venue. Like the Tustin-Irvine Marketplace, it's totally impossible to walk from store to store here to get your shopping done, so be prepared to drive from store, if you've come here to shop!
(On the other hand, if you've come to take in a movie & snack, don't worry. The entertainment section of the plaza has been built on a smaller, pedestrian-friendly scale.)
Unlike its name sounds, the Long Beach Towne Center is nowhere near Long Beach's center of town. You'll find this conveniently-located plaza directly off the I-605 Freeway's Carson Street exit, at the edge of town where Long Beach meets Lakewood and Hawaiian Gardens...with the town of Cerritos just a stone's throw away, as well. In fact, the Long Beach Towne Center complements the Los Cerritos Center Mall, just several exits up Interstate 605. What the Cerritos Mall doesn't have, you'll find at the Long Beach Towne Center, and vice versa; and it's so easy to enjoy both venues on the same shopping trip because they're in such close proximity!

The Long Beach location of The Powerhouse features over 100 interactive games...great for either an hours worth of fun before your movie at the Edwards Theater, OR enough entertainment to last throughout an afternoon or evening outing! Laser tag is another exciting activity. Bowlingo is a smaller-than-normal sized bowling game that families enjoy because kids can get in on the fun---without having to lift a heavy bowling ball.
