Mann's Chinese 6 Theaters debut D-Box motion seats! It's the world's first theater to get them! Will you be viewing the latest "The Fast & The Furious" movie? Why not catch the flick at Mann's Chinese 6 Theaters at the Hollywood & Highland Center...because beginning April 3, 2009, you'll be able to FEEL the movie as well as SEE it! Only 2 locations in the world have been chosen to debut the new D-Box Motion Seats technology. The Mann Chinese 6 is the only Southern California location which has this honor. The other location is the new UltraStar Theater in Surprise, Arizona (greater Phoenix area.)There will be an extra premium for viewing The Fast and the Furious in the special new seats. The price will be $17 (as opposed to $10 if you see this same movie in a "regular" theater at the Chinese 6.) The Mann Theater chain's current list of theaters serve ONLY the Southern California area. Therefore, visitors from out-of-town may not have heard of this theater chain by its name. Nevertheless, virtually ALL tourists to the area have heard of its most famous venue...Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard.

2.) The Mann Village Theater is another popular venue for movie premieres. Located in the cozy and attractive Westwood Village section of Los Angeles (near UCLA,) this grand old movie palace has the large, stately auditorium needed for gala events. During a movie premiere, barricades are erected, a real red carpet is unrolled, fans line up, and the movie's cast members arrive by limousine where they're greeted by a dazzle of camera lights.
On a "normal" business day, there's no hubbub; no gala event in progress. But, you WILL get to view the film that's currently playing in a terrific movie house which features a superior sound system, crispy-clear visual quality, and a gigantic screen. Though this 1931 vintage theater...originally born as the Fox Village Theater...has been a Westwood landmark for over 75 years, updates have ensured visitors modern, comfy seating and other amenities (such as handicap facilities.) While no modifications have been made to the theater for adding stadium-style seating, your view of the screen will be good from most parts of this huge auditorium (which seats 1400+ guests.) The Westwood Village Theater also has a balcony...which is preferred by some guests for its good view of the screen, and by others simply for the novelty of the experience.

3.) Mann's Bruin Theater is another classic movie house where movie premieres are sometimes held. The Bruin, which is located just across the street from the Westwood Village Theater, doesn't have an auditorium which is as "majestic" looking as its sister theater. The Bruin's seating capacity is much less, as well...just 600+ seats...but that makes it "just right" for smaller movie premiers. The Bruin can also serve as an "overflow" theater for very large movie premieres for which even the giant-sized Mann Village Theater doesn't have enough room to hold all the guests.Just as the Westwood Village Theater, The Bruin began life in 1930's as a Fox West Coast Theater. Thus, visitors who attend a movie screening here will enjoy taking a trip back in time to the world of yesteryear and the glamorous reign of the large, single auditorium "movie palace" style theaters.
