You'll find a choice of 3 dining options at the Disneyland Resort's Paradise Pier Hotel. These are---***Disney's PCH Grill ***Yamabuki Japanese Restaurant ***The Coffee Bar On this page, we'll talk about what you can expect to find at each of these three Paradise Pier Hotel Restaurants.
Paradise Pier Hotel Restaurants -- The PCH Grill
The Paradise Pier Hotel's PCH Grill is home to the popular "Lilo and Stitch Aloha Breakfast" character meal. Since the Lilo and Stitch character dining experience has already been discussed on another page of this website, please use the following link to see the Disneyland Character Dining page of this website. What we'll chat about on this page, then, are your dining options at the PCH Grill for dinner...which is NOT a character meal. (Although, as you can see by the photo below and to your right, the kid's coloring placemat/menu for dinner time still features the Lilo and Stitch movie/Disney Channel TV show characters.) On the PCH Grill's children's menu, the kids in your party may order one of a choice of several kids meals, priced between $7-8. Options are hot dogs, macaroni and cheese, grilled cheese sandwich, Mickey-shaped chicken nuggets, and mini-hamburgers or cheeseburgers. Each main dish comes served with a choice of French fries of fresh fruit to complete the meal. Children's beverages cost $2.59 and come served in a souvenir cup (which kids, of course, may take home with them.) Beverage choices include milk, chocolate milk, fruit juices, or soft drinks from the Coca-cola line of products.
For adults, dinners at the PCH Grill feature "casual dining" type meals. You'll be able to order grilled burgers and sandwiches, pizzas, main dish salads...plus appetizers and desserts. The Burger varieties include--- ***Classic quarter pound hamburger or cheeseburger ***Bacon burger with BBQ Sauce ***Mushroom-Swiss cheese burger ***Chili burger Each burger meal comes served with lettuce, tomato and pickles, plus a side of French fries. A chicken breast patty may be substituted for the beef. Burger prices run between $7-8.
The sandwich selections include turkey breast, roast beef, ground beef or turkey patties served in several styles, such as club sandwiches and cheese melts. French fries are served as a side dish. Prices for sandwiches at the PCH Grill run between $8--10.
Main Dish Salads include a crab meat salad, a "Mexican-Caesar" salad, a Cobb salad, and a soup/salad combo plate. Prices for the main dish salads run between $8--10.
There are several pizza types from which to choose at the PCH Grill. These include 3-cheese, pepperoni, sausage, Hawaiian (Canadian bacon/pineapple), and supreme. Pizzas are cooked in a wood-burning stove! Pizza prices are around $10 for a personal-sized pizza.
Other main dishes served for dinner at the PCH Grill include--- ***Half-chicken (roasted, with a side of vegetables ***Grilled New York Steak (served with potatoes and veggies) ***Angel hair pasta/marinara sauce. These larger meals at the PCH Grill are priced between $15--22. Appetizers, desserts and beverages are not included with the meal, but are charged separately.
Paradise Pier Hotel Restaurants -- Yamabuki
The one elegant dining choice among the Paradise Pier Hotel Restaurants is the Yamabuki Japanese Restaurant. This may not please guests who prefer to enjoy American cuisine. However, other nice restaurants serving American foods may be found at the Disneyland Hotel, at Downtown Disney Anaheim, and at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. On the other hand, there are those guests who are extrememly happy to find an adventuresome dining choice at the Paradise Pier Hotel. I talked with some guests who were quite estatic with their meals at Yamabuki...even going into great detail about what they ate for dinner there! I tend to think that the existence of the Yamabuki Restaurant has lots to do with the large number of Pacific Rim guests that visit Disneyland California...and, particularly, Japanese guests. I'm sure these visitors must be quite pleased to find a Disney restaurant serving THEIR familiar and favorite food selections.
For less intrepid North American diners (such as myself!), there are some familiar foods on the Yamabuki menu---such as chicken teriyaki---and "regular" dining tables at which to sit. For the more curious, there are all manner of unusual foods on the menu, and you may dine at a traditional, low table using chopsticks. For a little extra cost, you may even have a cook-at-your-own-table meal! Menu items can be so unusual at Yamabuki that even reading the menu won't help you to know what they serve! Basically, the restaurant offers chicken, beef, seafood and vegetarian main dishes, and a variety of sushi selections. All ingredients and cooking methods are said to be authentically Japanese. (This is not too hard to do, since Orange County, California has a variety of Asian grocery markets catering to the large immigrant population here!) The atmosphere of the restaurant is calm and elegant; it is beautifully decorated in traditional Japanese styles. For adventuresome eaters, dining at the Yamabuki Restaurant may be an experience that you'll long remember.
Paradise Pier Hotel Restaurants -- The Coffee Bar
Looking for a quick snack instead of a full meal? The Coffee Bar in the Paradise Pier Hotel's lobby may be just the restaurant you'd want. The attractive Coffee Bar snack shop provides a cozy, indoor-dining experience...while you drink one of your specialty coffee drink favorites, or munch on a cute Disney-themed pastry. Fresh fruit, yogurt and sandwiches are also available here. The items offered...both the coffee drinks and the sandwiches/pastries...are so similar to what's served in The Coffee House at the Disneyland Hotel, that I'm going to refer you to that page rather than write about the same items all over again! Please use the following link to review the Coffee House menu items on the Disneyland Hotel Restaurants page of this website.
Paradise Pier Hotel Restaurants -- Phone number, address, directions
The address of the Paradise Pier Hotel (and its restaurants) is: 1717 South Disneyland Drive, Anaheim, CA 92802.The phone number for information about the Paradise Pier Hotel restaurants (including the PCH Grill and the Yamabuki Japanese Restaurant) is (714) 781-DINE. You may notice that this is the same telephone number that you've used to call OTHER Disneyland Resort restaurants. Rest assured: even though operators field questions about several dozen Disney dining restaurants, they really DO know a whole lot about each one of them. (At least, in my experience, they've been able to answer questions about many different dining venues throughout the resort...and I've made multiple calls to them.) You may make reservations through this phone line...or simply ask questions. Directions to the Paradise Pier Hotel restaurants--- You'll find several maps to help you find your way to the Paradise Pier Hotel on the "Disneyland Maps" page of this website.
