Phoenix Arizona Outlet MallsBargains await you on your Interstate 10 Roadtrip to Los Angeles!
If you'll be driving through Phoenix, Arizona during the hotter parts of the year, you might enjoy a rest-break activity that's indoors (in the air conditioning!) Why not stop to bargain shop for a bit? Greater Phoenix has several outlet malls where you can browse while taking a stretch break on your road trip to Los Angeles. The largest outlet mall in the Phoenix metro area is the huge Arizona Mills Mall. You'll find the Arizona Mills outlet center right off of Interstate 10 in the suburb of Tempe. Taking a break to explore Arizona Mills Mall won't be out of your way...and you certainly can't get lost. You can easily see the mall from the freeway...and vice versa! On this page, we'll talk about the stores, restaurants and entertainment you can find at the large, fully-enclosed Arizona Mills Mall. Then, we'll talk about some of the other outlet shopping opportunities you can find in metropolitan Phoenix. (Note: In the photo to your left, you're looking at a shot of the food court at the Arizona Mills Mall.) WARNING: If you'll be visiting a mall (or other attraction) when the temperature is 100+ degrees in Phoenix, you'll return to a car that's quite possibly heated up to 135+ degrees or more! If possible, park in the shade. (However, you won't be able to find much shade!) If you have small children with you, leave the kids inside the air conditioned mall with one parent, while the other parent gets the car air conditioned. Under no circumstances should children or pets remain in a hot car awaiting adults. Several deaths of kids and animals occur each year in desert cities because people always think that such a tragedy "won't happen to them." Arizona Mills Mall Restaurants, Movies and Entertainment

Not only that, but its cavernous interior will give you plenty of room to walk and stretch your legs!At Arizona Mills, you'll find not only a plethora of stores, but also restaurants and amusements. Phoenix Outlet Malls -- VF Outlet Center
There's a small outlet mall at the far eastern edge of the Phoenix metro area (in the town of Mesa, AZ.) The "Factory Outlets of America" (AKA "Power Village") is a 1986 mall which has fallen on hard times. Many tennants have left; you'll see plenty of empty stores if you visit here. However, there's still a very good reason to go...and that's to visit the VF Outlet Store. The large VF Outlet Center store has clothing for men, women and children. The prices are wonderful. The low prices and good quality of the merchandise at the VF Outlet centers (as a whole) is so consistent that they've even been honored by the Consumer Reports magazine! In the May 2006 issue of "Consumer Reports," VF Outlets were listed as one of the top 5 outlet store chains for finding a good value! VF Outlet stores sell the following brands of clothing: Vanity Fair, HealtTex, Lily of France, Wrangler, Lee, Jansport, and Nautica. The store sells very reasonably priced housewares, such as sheets and comforter setsThe following stores are open at the VF Outlet Mall as of April 2007:
Location of The VF Outlet Center---The VF Outlet Mall's address is 2050 S. Roslyn Place, Mesa, AZ 85206. Directions: From the Arizona State Road 60 freeway, take the Power Road Exit. Travel south to Baseline Road. The mall is in the southeast corner of the intersection, but is difficult to see. There is no "mall official website." However, the City of Mesa, Arizona website lists the following website as the recommended one to view:
