The Promenade at Westlake

If you enjoy beautiful open-air shopping malls and/or entertainment & dining centers, The Promenade is one place you WON'T want to miss!

The architecture is charming. Each store and restaurant looks like a little shop set within a quaint village...every store's exterior "look" is different.

Interesting little details to enjoy can be found with nearly every step visitors make throughout The Promenade. Beautiful fountains flow. A statue-man sits on a bench "reading" his newspaper. The clock plays a chime serenade on one end of the plaza, while piped-in 40's tunes waft softly from hidden speakers.

Colorful koi fish swim in a pond decorated by interesting boulders and greenery. A pedestrian bridge crosses over a stream. Promenade at Westlake: Entertainment and Dining

As you noticed in the sections above, hosting a wide variety of stores is not what The Promenade is "all about." But...when it comes to its dining and entertainment options, well, that's a different story.

Weekends find The Promenade at Westlake coming alive with the sounds of live music...often jazz. Diners in the outdoor seating areas of nearby restaurants can tap their toes to the music as they eat. Or, passersby may make themselves comfortable and "set a spell" as they sway to the vibes in the courtyard area.

Before or after dinner, many visitors to the Westlake Promenade take in a movie at the Mann 8 Theaters here. The Mann Village 8 (telephone number (805) 379-2299) shows a selection of first-run hit movies. True, there aren't as many auditoriums at the Mann 8 as there would be at a larger multiplex theater...but, there isn't as huge a crowd nor as bad a parking problem at The Promenade's Mann Theater, either!
