Children are the target audience at Sea Life. Yes, all members of the family are going to find enjoyment and education here. But special fun touches...including Lego characters adorning the exhibits, exciting use of color, imaginative settings, and even play places throughout the aquarium all add up to a fun day for kids. If your child has liked visits to other aquarium attractions, he or she will LOVE the Sea Life Aquarium. And, if your children have been bored by fish tanks and typical aquarium exhibits before...don't give up without giving Sea Life a chance. Your children may very well become aquarium-lovers for the very first time! 2.) California's aquatic life is the focus of Legoland's aquarium. While visitors from all over the USA can enjoy these exhibits, local children will learn about life "under the water" at places where they've probably gone before (and will likely go again.) What are the exhibits at Legoland's Sea Life Aquarium?In keeping with the California marine plants and creatures theme, the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland is divided into many different areas, each with a different focus. Here's a list of areas at the aquarium...and each room has a number of exhibits which fit the topic being covered--In addition to the many different topics covered, you'll enjoy eating in Sea Life's restaurant...and shopping for unique sea-themed merchandise in the aquarium's gift shop. Sea Life Aquarium Hours of OperationJuly, 2009 hours for the Sea Life Aquarium: In July, the Sea Life Aquarium opens every day at 9 am and closes every day at 8 pm. August, 2009 hours at Legoland's Sea Life Aquarium: On Sunday & Monday, August 30th and 31st, the aquarium opens at 9 am and closes at 6 pm. But, every other day of August, the Sea Life Aquarium's opening time is 9 am and its closing time is 8 pm. September, 2009 Sea Life hours: For the first 6 days of September, Sea Life opens at 9 am and closes at 6 pm. Beginning on Monday, September 7th (Labor Day) the entire rest of September will observe a 10 am to 5 pm schedule. October, 2009 schedule at the Sea Life Aquarium: Every Saturday during October, Legoland's Sea Life Aquarium opens at 10 am and closes late at 8 pm. Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the aquarium's open hours are from 10 am until 5 pm. November, 2009 aquarium schedule: Almost every day of November, the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm. This includes Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day.) However there are 2 exceptions. On November 27th and 28th (part of the Thanksgiving school break,) the aquarium will open at 9 am and close at 6 pm. December, 2009 Sea Life Aquarium hours: Every day between December 1st and 25th (Christmas Day,) Sea Life opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm. Extended hours for the Christmas vacation period run from December 26th through 31st (New Year's Eve.) Holiday hours on those dates will be from 9 am until 7 pm. Sea Life Aquarium prices & discount ticketsTicket prices for Legoland's Sea Life Aquarium are as follows (when you pay full price)--1.) Adults, $18.95 2.) Children, $11.95 3.) Seniors, $15.95 However, there ARE ways to get discount tickets to the Sea Life Aquarium at Legoland. You can get discounts by combining your visit with a trip to Legoland...but you can also get discounts even if all you'd like to do is visit the aquarium by itself. 1.) AAA Member Discount: If you're a member of the AAA, you'll be glad to know that the Sea Life Aquarium is part of the "Show Your Card and Save" discount plan. Simply by showing your AAA card at the Sea Life ticket booth, you'll save 10% off each admission ticket. This offer is valid for up to 6 tickets, and may not be combined with other offers. 4.) Carlsbad Premium Outlets VIP Club BOGO coupon: Here's a great deal if you're a member of the Carlsbad Premium Outlet Mall's VIP Club. With this members-only coupon, you can get one FREE child's ticket to the SeaLife Aquarium with the purchase of an adult admission ticket. Best of all, admission to the Carlsbad Premium Outlets VIP Club is FREE! First, you must sign up for the club on their website (and confirm it, via the email link they'll send you.) After that, you'll gain entry to a restricted part of their website where you'll find coupons for shopping at their mall---which is just a stone's throw from the Sea Life Aquarium. Military Discounts: Active members of the military may purchase Sea Life Aquarium tickets at a discount. If you show your ID card at Sea Life's ticket booths, you'll get 10% off of your purchase of 1-day admission tickets. Sea Life tickets at a greater discount may be purchased on base before you visit the attraction. 6.) Parking lot discount: If you're visiting the Sea Life Aquarium, you'll have to pay to park in Legoland's parking lot. HOWEVER, if you're ONLY visiting Sea Life (and not Legoland, too,) then you may be reimbursed for part of your parking fee. Simply show both your Sea Life tickets and your parking lot ticket at Sea Life's Guest Services window to receive your partial refund of parking fees.
