SeaWorld San Diego Weather during the spring months
Weather at SeaWorld in the spring ranges from quite chilly to quite warm. As you visit SeaWorld's various attractions, you'll often find near-perfect weather, complemented by sea breezes coming off of Mission Bay. Nevertheless, when you're sitting in Shamu Stadium waiting for the show---exposed to the sun and sheltered from the breezes by the many tiers of bleachers---you'll begin to think that the day is quite warm! On the other hand, if you stay late to enjoy evening activities at Sea World, you'll be surprised at how quickly the temperature drops after the sun goes down. You may even need to make a quick trip to the parking lot to grab a coat from your car!Dressing for SeaWorld San Diego's weather: Because you'll face a variety of temperatures and wind conditions throughout your day at Sea World, it's a great idea to "dress in layers. In other words, it's always a good idea when heading to Sea World to think about how you can quickly cool down or warm up. A good idea is to dress casually in an outfit meant for a warm day, with a sweater or light jacket on top. As the day heats up, you'll naturally take off the jacket. After getting soaked at Shamu Stadium, you'll invariably want to put it on again! And, if you plan to stay late (into the evening hours) at SeaWorld, it's always a good idea to have a heavier jacket or warm blanket waiting for you in the car. If you get soaked right at sunset---and there are a number of ways to get drenched at SeaWorld---there won't be enough sunlight left for you to dry out. Being able to wrap up and get warm again will save you from having to shiver all the way on your drive home. (If you read between the lines, you'll realize that I learned this tidbit of information the hard way!) On the rest of this page, you'll discover the hours of operation at Sea World San Diego for the months of April through August, 2008.
