Knotts Soak City Attractions
ALL SOAK CITY LOCATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE 2011 SEASON. But, it isn't to soon to start planning for 2012 fun! The Soak City 2012 schedules aren't yet finalized, but you can use the information on this page (from 2011) to get a good idea about what to expect when the water parks open again.In the slide show at the top of this page, you're viewing pics of Soak City attractions at the Buena Park location. To your left, you can see a picture of Soak City's "Sunset River" ride. And on the rest of this page, you'll see pics of still MORE Soak City attractions. Attractions at the Buena Park Soak City include the following: (1) the Pacific Spin bowl ride, on which you'll use a raft which holds up to 4 people; (2) Old Man Falls, which is tall platform from which you may enter 3 different speed slides; (3) Malibu Run, which is a tall platform from which you may enter 4 different slides that you'll ride on an inner tube; (4) Laguna Storm Water Tower, a platform from which you can enter either single or double inner tube slides; (5) Banzai Falls, a 6-lane speed slide which you descend head-first while riding on special mats; (6) Tidal Wave Bay, the park's giant wave pool; (7) Sunset River, the park's attractive "lazy river" style floating ride; (8) Toyota Beach House, the park's water-play area for older kids and adults; (9) Gremmie Lagoon, the park's pool and play area for toddlers, preschoolers and young children.

Soak City's Buena Park location opened on Saturday, May 21st for the 2011 Summer Season! The rest of the water park's 2011 schedule is as follows:
---MAY 2011: Soak City Orange County uses two different schedules this month. They are:
10 am to 5 pm schedule: Soak City opens for its 2011 season at 10 am on Saturday, May 21st! On opening day, the park will close at 5 pm. The other two dates using the 10 am to 5 pm schedule are Sunday, May 22nd and Tuesday, May 31st.
10 am to 6 pm schedule: For the entire Memorial Day holiday weekend, Soak City OC will open at 10 am & close at 6 pm. This includes Saturday, May 28th; Sunday, May 29th; and Monday, May 31th.
---JUNE 2011 HOURS OF OPERATION: Soak City Buena Park opens daily during June, 2011! Every day its opening time is at 10 am...but the water park has 3 different closing times during the month.
5 PM CLOSING TIME: On the following June weekdays, Soak City closes at 5 pm: June 1, 2, 3, and 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
6 PM CLOSING TIME: On the following June dates, Knott's Soak City Buena Park closes at 6 pm. (These dates include both weekends and weekdays.) They are: June 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19.
7 PM CLOSING TIME: On the last 11 days of June, Soak City Orange County closes at 7 pm. These dates are June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30.
---JULY 2011 Soak City hours: Every day during July, 2011, Soak City Buena Park's opening time is 10 am and its closing time is 7 pm. There are no exceptions.
6 PM closing time: On the following August days, Soak City Buena Park will close at 6 pm: 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 29, 30, & 31. All of these are weekdays during the 2nd half of August.
---SEPTEMBER 2011 SOAK CITY HOURS OF OPERATION: September is the month when students go back to school and vacationers leave for home. So, Soak City's dates and hours of operation slack off for the month of September. On September 1, 2 and 5 (Labor Day,) the water park will open at 10 am & close at 6 pm. On the Labor Day Weekend dates of Saturday, 9/3 and Sunday 9/4, Soak City OC will open at 10 am & won't close until 7 pm.
On September 10, 11, 17, & 18 (which are all weekend dates,) the water park will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm.
On all the other days of September, Soak City Buena Park will be closed. Sunday, September 18th will be the last operating day for the Summer 2011 season at the Orange Co location of Knott's Soak City.
Soak City Palm Springs Hours of Operation for 2011
Thanks to the balmy Spring weather in Palm Springs, California, this is always the first Knotts Soak City location to open every year.
In 2011, its opening date was Saturday, March 12th!
Not only is this the first Soak City location to open....it's also the very first major Southern California water park to open for the 2011 season in the entire region. Come join the fun!
Here are the Knott's Soak City/Palm Springs hours of operation for March thru October, 2011:
---MARCH, 2011 hours for Soak City Palm Springs: During March, Knott's Soak City Palm Springs uses 2 different operating schedules...plus on many dates, the park will be closed.
The 11 am to 5 pm schedule: For opening day on 3/12, Soak City Palm Springs will open at 11 am and close at 5 pm. Other March dates with the hours of 11 am to 5 pm are: Sunday, March 13; Saturday, March 19; Sunday, March 20; and from Wednesday, March 24, EVERY day until the end of the month. (This includes Thursday, March 24; Friday, March 25; Saturday, March 26; Sunday, March 27; Monday, March 28; Tuesday, March 29; Wednesday, March 30; and Thursday, March 24.)
The 10 am to 6 pm schedule: On Saturday, March 27; Monday, March 29; Tuesday, March 30; and Wednesday, March 31, Soak City Palm Springs hours will be 10 am to 6 pm.
Closed dates in March: For all other March dates not mentioned above, the waterpark will be closed. This inclueds March 1st thru 11th; March 14th thru 18th; plus March 21 & 22.
---APRIL 2011 HOURS: During April, 2011, Soak City Palm Springs will not be open daily. However, the water park WILL be open on EVERY weekend...plus selected weekdays, as well. There are 2 different park schedules during this month.
10 am to 6 pm schedule: On EVERY Saturday in April, Soak City Palm Springs will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm. This includes Saturday, April 2, 9, 16, 23 & 30th.
11 am to 5 pm schedule: On April 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 (The first week of April is Spring Break week at Soak City Palm Springs); PLUS the park will use the 11 am to 5 pm schedule every Thursday, Friday and Sunday in April, including April 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 24, 28 & 29.
April, 2011 closed dates: Soak City Palm Springs will be closed on April 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27th.
---MAY 2011 HOURS: Even in May, Soak City Palm Springs is not open daily yet. However, EVERY weekend the water park will be open & waiting for you...and also several weekdays near Memorial Day, too. There are 3 different schedules during May:
1.) The 10 am to 6 pm schedule: Every Saturday in May, plus Memorial Day weekend, Knott's Soak City Palm Springs opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. These dates are May 7, 14, 21, 28, 29 and 30th (which is Memorial Day itself.)
2.) The 11 am to 6 pm schedule: May hours of 11 am to 5 pm will be in effect on Sunday, May 1, 8, 15 and 22; plus Thursday, May 26th and Friday, May 27th.
3.) The 10 am to 5 pm schedule: Only one day in May, 2011 gets this schedule...and that's Tuesday, May 31st.
Closed dates in May at Soak City Palm Springs are the following weekdays: May 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24 and 25.
The 10 am to 5 pm schedule: On the following weekdays, the Soak City Palm Springs opening time is 10 am and the park's closing time is 5 pm: June 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
The 10 am to 6 pm schedule: On Saturday, June 4th and Sunday, June 5th, Soak City Palm Springs opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. Then, beginning Saturday, June 11th, Soak City Palm Springs will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm every day for the rest of this month!
---JULY 2011 HOURS: Hours at Soak City Palm Springs are very simple in July, 2011! Every day this month, the Soak City Palm Springs water park opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm!
---AUGUST 2011 HOURS: There are 3 different schedules for the Palm Springs Soak City water park this month: 10 am to 6 pm; 11 am to 5 pm; and "closed completely."
The 10 am to 6 pm dates: Thankfully, Soak City Palm Springs opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm almost every day this month. From Monday, August 1st through Sunday, August 21st, the park follows the 10 am to 6 pm schedule; and also one more weekend, too---Saturday, Aug 27th and Sunday, Aug 28th.
The 11 am to 5 pm dates: On five weekdays near the end of August, the park drops back to a shorter schedule as fewer vacationers arrive to visit the park. On August 22, 23, 24, 25, 26th, water park hours will be 11 am to 5 pm.
Closed dates in August: Soak City Palm Springs will be closed completely on August 29, 30, and 31st.
---SEPTEMBER 2011 HOURS: As students head back to school, Soak City Palm Springs cuts back on its hours. The park will NOT be open daily...but it WILL be open every weekend, plus a few selected weekdays (including Labor Day, of course!) There will be 3 different schedules at the park this month:
The 10 am to 6 pm schedule: Park hours of 10 am to 6 pm will be in effect for the entire Labor Day weekend--Saturday, September 3; Sunday, Sept 4; and Monday, September 5th.
The 10 am until 5 pm schedule: The Palm Springs Soak City water park will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on three different Saturdays---September 10th, 17th and 24th.
The 11 am to 5 pm schedule: The waterpark opens at 10 am & closes at 5 pm on September 1, 2, 11, 18 and 25th.
Closed dates in September: On all other dates in September, 2010, Soak City Palm Springs will be closed. This includes the following September weekdays: 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30.
---OCTOBER 2011 HOURS: Soak City Palm Springs often closes in September...but for 2011, they will be open for the first weekend of October, as well! On Saturday, October 1st, Soak City hours will be 10 am to 5 pm. Then, Sunday, October 2nd, it will be the Soak City Palm Springs LAST day of the 2011 operating season. Hours that date will be 11 am until 5 pm.
Knott's Palm Springs will be closed for the rest of the year beginning Monday, October 3rd, 2011. Current plans are to re-open for the 2012 season next March!
Knotts Soak City Hours of Operation -- San Diego/Chula Vista
Knott's Soak City San Diego's opening day for 2011 was on Saturday, May 21st! And, although Soak City will be open only 9 days in May, they'll be using 4 different schedules this month!10 am to 5 pm schedule: Opening day hours at Soak City Chula Vista are 10 am until 5 pm. This is the only date in May using this schedule.
11 am to 5 pm schedule: On Sunday, May 22nd, the waterpark opens at 11 am and closes at 5 pm. This is the only May date using this particular schedule.
10 am to 4 pm schedule: On 4 different weekdays, Soak City's opening time will be 10 am and its closing time will be very early at 4 pm. These dates are May 25, 26, 27 and 31st.
10 am to 6 pm schedule: If you'd love to enjoy all the fun Soak City slides and water attractions for the Memorial Day weekend, you aren't alone! What a terrific way to spend the holiday! On Saturday, May 28th; Sunday, May 29th; and Monday, May 30th (Memorial Day itself) the park's operating schedule will be from 10 am to 6 pm.
Closed dates: On all other dates in May, Knott's Soak City SD will be closed.
---JUNE 2011 HOURS FOR SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: June hours at Knott's Soak City in Chula Vista/San Diego are simple! Almost every day in June this fun water park opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. The only exceptions are on June 1, 2 & 3: On June 1st & 2nd, hours will be 10 am to 4 pm; and on June 3rd, the water park's hours of operation will be from 10 am until 5 pm. There are NO dates in June when the water park plans to be closed.
---JULY, 2011 HOURS AT SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: There will only be two different schedules at the water park this month. They are:
10 am to 6 pm schedule: On the following dates, Soak City Chula Vista opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm---July 1, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29th.
10 am to 7 pm schedule: Here's a list of dates when the park's hours of operation will be 10 am to 7 pm: July 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 30 and 31st.
---AUGUST HOURS AT SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: The Chula Vista location of Knott's Soak City is open every day in August, 2011. Almost every day of the month, Soak City's opening time will be 10 am and its closing time will be 6 pm. There are only 2 exceptions: on Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th, the water park's hours will be 10 am to 7 pm, giving visitors an extra hour of fun!
---SEPTEMBER 2011 HOURS AT SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: As students head back to school...and parents head back to work...the dates and hours of operation at Soak City San Diego cut back drastically. From September 1st through September 5th (Labor Day) the water park is open daily from 10 am until 6 pm. Labor Day is the last weekday of the 2011 operating season on which the water park will be open. However, you can still enjoy Soak City San Diego every weekend in September! On 3 Saturdays, Sepember 10, 17, and 24th, Soak City San Diego, hours will be open from 10 am to 5 pm.. On 3 Sundays, September 11, 18 & 25th, hours will be 11 am to 5 pm. Sunday, September 25th is Soak City San Diego's last day of operation for the 2011 summer season.
2011 Soak City Ticket Prices and Discounts
1.) Print-at-home discount tickets: Soak City will give you a discount simply for printing your ticket at home before you head to the water park. The Print at Home discount price is $26.99; you do not have to be a SoCal resident. Kids and seniors may purchase their tickets online, BUT they don't get a print at home discount. Online tickets remain $21.99 for kids & seniors, just like at the water park's ticket booths. To purchase print-at-home tickets from the Knott's official website, you may use the following link to the Knott's theme park and Soak City water park ticketing page on the www.Knotts.com website.
2.) Early Bird Season Pass discount: If you love swimming and water activities, you may wish to visit Knott's Soak City again and again. Does this sound like YOU? If so, you'll save money in the long run if you get a Soak City season pass. The earlier you get your season pass, the more you save: remember that the water parks close in late September! If you purchase your Soak City Season Pass early, you can get it for only $49...AND it's good at all 3 Knott's Soak City locations! You can find out further information about season passes on the www.Knotts.com website, where you can also get information about combo season passes which include the Knotts Berry Farm theme park!
3.) Pepsi can discount for Knott's Soak City: Every year, Knott's Berry Farm and its Soak City water parks offer a Pepsi can discount at some time during the summer. Will they offer this special deal again during 2011? Probably...but it hasn't officially been announced yet.
5.) LA Perks Pass discount/all Soak City locations: There is a fairly new Southern California discount program called the LA Perks Pass. The bad: you have to purchase this pass, and it costs only $19.99 for a 10-day pass (or $29.99 for a pass good thru 12/31.) The good: Only one LA Perks Pass can be used for up to 4 people. You'll get $7 off each Soak City ticket you purchase at the gate...and it's good at all three Soak City locations. If 4 members of your family get the $7 discount, then your LA Perks Pass is almost paid for...and you still have many other discounts left that you may use! Other fun attractions where you may use your LA Perks Pass include the Knott's Berry Farm theme park, where you'll save $20 at the ticket booth for each adult admission; and the Buena Park Medieval Times restaurant, where you'll save 25% per ticket. Actually, the list of attractions and restaurants where you may get discounts is pretty long, and you'll want to examine it carefully if you're thinking about it.
