(Many thanks to my daughter-in-law, Karla Fewell, for taking the photos while the rest of the group had fun.)Attractions at the Buena Park Soak City include the following: (1) the Pacific Spin bowl ride, on which you'll use a raft which holds up to 4 people; (2) Old Man Falls, which is tall platform from which you may enter 3 different speed slides; (3) Malibu Run, which is a tall platform from which you may enter 4 different slides that you'll ride on an inner tube; (4) Laguna Storm Water Tower, a platform from which you can enter either single or double inner tube slides; (5) Banzai Falls, a 6-lane speed slide which you descend head-first while riding on special mats; (6) Tidal Wave Bay, the park's giant wave pool; (7) Sunset River, the park's attractive "lazy river" style floating ride; (8) Toyota Beach House, the park's water-play area for older kids and adults; (9) Gremmie Lagoon, the park's pool and play area for toddlers, preschoolers and young children.

Soak City Buena Park/Orange County Hours
Soak City's Buena Park location opens on Saturday, May 22nd for the 2010 Summer Season! The rest of the water park's 2010 schedule is as follows:
---MAY 2010: Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm on the weekend of May 22/May 23. Closed on the weekdays of May 24, 25, 26, 27 & 28. Open from 10 am to 6 pm on May 29, 30 & 31 for the Memorial Day holiday weekend. Hours subject to change depending on variables such as the weather.
---JUNE 2010 HOURS OF OPERATION: Soak City Buena Park opens daily during June, 2010. Every day its opening time is the same...but the water park has 3 different closing times during the month.
5 PM CLOSING TIME: On the following June weekdays, Soak City closes at 5 pm: June 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.
6 PM CLOSING TIME: On the following June dates, Knott's Soak City Buena Park closes at 6 pm. (These dates include both weekends and weekdays.) They are: June 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 & 20.
7 PM CLOSING TIME: On the last 10 days of June, Soak City Orange County closes at 7 pm. These dates are June 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30.
---JULY 2010 Soak City hours: Every day during July, 2010, Soak City Buena Park's opening time is 10 am and its closing time is 7 pm. There are no exceptions.
---AUGUST 2010 SOAK CITY HOURS: Every day in August, 2010, the Buena Park location of Knott's Soak City will open at 10 am. However, there are 2 different closing times. 7 PM closing time: On the followiing dates in August, 2010, Soak City Buena Park will close at 7 pm: August 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 21, 28, & 29. (To summarize, these are the entire first 2 weeks of August, plus every Saturday and Sunday during the month.)
6 PM closing time: On the following August days, Soak City Buena Park will close at 6 pm: 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, & 31. All of these are weekdays during the 2nd half of August.
---SEPTEMBER 2010 SOAK CITY HOURS OF OPERATION: September is the month when students go back to school and vacationers leave for home. So, Soak City's dates and hours of operation slack off for the month of September. On September 1, 2, 3 and 6 (Labor Day,) the water park will open at 10 am & close at 6 pm. On the weekend days of Saturday, 9/4 and Sunday 9/5, Soak City OC will stay open at 10 am & won't close until 7 pm.
On September 11, 12, 18, & 19 (which are all weekend dates,) the water park will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm. On all the other days of September, Soak City Buena Park will be closed. Sunday, September 19th will be the last operating day for the Summer 2010 season at this location.
Soak City Palm Springs Hours of Operation for 2010
Thanks to the balmy Spring weather in Palm Springs, California, this is always the first Knotts Soak City location to open every year. During 2010, its opening date will be Saturday, March 13th!Here are the Knott's Soak City/Palm Springs hours of operation for March thru September, 2010:
---MARCH, 2010 hours for Soak City Palm Springs: For opening day on 3/13, Soak City Palm Springs will open at 11 am and close at 5 pm. Other March dates with the hours of 11 am to 5 pm are: Sunday, March 14; Saturday, March 20; Sunday, March 21; Wednesday, March 24; Thursday, March 25; Friday, March 26; and Sunday, March 28.
Other March hours: On Saturday, March 27; MOnday, March 29; Tuesday, March 30; and Wednesday, March 31, Soak City Palm Springs hours will be 10 am to 6 pm. For all other March dates not mentioned, the park will be closed.
---APRIL 2010 HOURS: During April, 2010, Soak City Palm Springs will not be open daily. However, the water park WILL be open on EVERY weekend...plus selected weekdays, as well. There are 2 different park schedules during this month.
10 am to 6 pm schedule: On April 1, 2, 3, 10, 17 & 24, Soak City Palm Springs will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm.
11 am to 6 pm schedule: On April 4 (Easter Sunday,) 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 (Spring Break week), 11, 15, 16, 18 and 25th, Soak City's opening time is 11 am & its closing time is 6 pm.
All other dates in April, the park is closed.
1.) Dates with open hours of 10 am to 6 pm May 1, 8, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29 & 30.
2.) May hours of 11 am to 6 pm will be in effect on Sunday, May 2 and Sunday, May 9.
3.) Hours of 11 am to 5 pm are in effect on Thursday, May 27 and Friday, May 28.
4.) Hours of 10 am to 5 pm are in effect on Monday, May 31st, which is Memorial Day.
Closed dates in May at Soak City Palm Springs are May 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 24, 25 & 26 (all weekdays.)
---JUNE 2010 HOURS: Knott's Soak City's Palm Springs location is finally open for operation every single day of the month! From Tuesday, June 1st thru Friday, June 5th, hours are 10 am until 5 pm. Beginning Saturday, June 6th, Soak City Palm Springs will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm every day for the rest of this month.
---JULY 2010 HOURS: Hours at Soak City Palm Springs are very simple in July, 2010! Every day this month, the Soak City Palm Springs water park opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm!
---AUGUST 2010 HOURS: Soak City Palm Springs opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm almost every day this month. The only exceptions are Monday, August 23th thru Friday, August 27th, plus August 30th & 31st---when the park's hours will be 11 am until 5 pm.
---SEPTEMBER 2010 HOURS: As students head back to school, Soak City Palm Springs cuts back on its hours. The park will no longer be open daily. The last day of operation will be Sunday, September 26, 2010. There are 3 different schedules at the park this month:
1.) Hours of 11 am to 5 pm will be in effect for September 1, 2, 3, 12, 19 and 26th.
2.) Hours of 10 am to 6 pm will be in effect for the Labor Day weekend--Saturday, September 4; Sunday, Sept 5; and Monday, September 6th.
3.) Hours of 10 am until 5 pm will be in effect for 3 different Saturdays---September 11th, 18th and 25th. On all other dates in September, 2010, Soak City Palm Springs will be closed.
Knotts Soak City Hours of Operation -- San Diego/Chula Vista
Knott's Soak City San Diego's opening day for 2010 is on Saturday, May 22nd. Opening day hours are 10 am until 6 pm. Other May dates that Soak City will open are Sunday, May23; Saturday, May 29; Sunday, May 30 and Monday, May 31st. On all of these dates, Soak City San Diego will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm.---JUNE 2010 HOURS FOR SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: June hours at Knott's Soak City in Chula Vista/San Diego are simple! Almost every day in June this fun water park opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. The only exceptions are on June 1, 2, 3 & 4: on those 4 weekdays, the hours will be from 10 am to 5 pm.
---JULY HOURS AT SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: On July 1, & 2, San Diego Soak City will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm. Beginning on Saturday, July 3rd, all dates in July through September 25th have hours of 10 am to 7 pm. Then on July 26, 27, 28, 29 & 30, the hours drop back to 10am-6pm. Finally on the last day of the month, July 31st, hours will be 10 am to 7 pm.
---AUGUST HOURS AT SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: The Chula Vista location of Knott's Soak City is open every day in August, 2010. Almost every day of the month, Soak City's opening time will be 10 am and its closing time will be 6 pm. There are only 3 exceptions: on August 1, 7 & 8, the water park's hours will be 10 am to 7 pm.
---SEPTEMBER 2010 HOURS AT SOAK CITY SAN DIEGO: As students head back to school...and parents head back to work...the dates and hours of operation at Soak City San Diego cut back drastically. From September 1st through September 6th (Labor Day) the water park is open daily from 10 am until 6 pm. Labor Day is the last weekday of the 2010 operating season. However, you can still enjoy Soak City San Diego every weekends in September. On Saturday, Sepember 11, 18, and 25th, Soak City San Diego, hours will be 10 am to 5 pm on those dates. On Sunday, September 12, 19 & 26th, hours will be 11 am to 5 pm. Sunday, September 25th is Soak City San Diego's last day of operation for the 2010 summer season.
Soak City Ticket Prices and Discounts
SOAK CITY DISCOUNT TICKETS: How can you get discount tickets to Knotts Soak City?
1.) Southern California Resident's discount: If you bring proof of your residence in SoCal (zip codes 90000-93599), you can get a discount ticket costing $25.99 at the Soak City turnstiles. There is no SoCal resident's discount for children or seniors; the ticket costs $19.99.
2.) Print-at-home discount tickets: Soak City will give you a discount simply for printing your ticket at home before you head to the water park. The Print at Home discount price is $25.99; you do not have to be a SoCal resident to get this price if you print your ticket at home. Kids and seniors do not get the print at home discount, because their $19.99 admission fee is already lower than this amount. To purchase print-at-home tickets from the Knott's official website, you may use the following link to the Knott's theme park and Soak City water park ticketing page on the www.Knotts.com website.
3.) Season Pass discount: If you love swimming and water activities, you may wish to visit Knott's Soak City again and again. Does this sound like YOU? If so, you'll save money in the long run if you get a Soak City season pass. The earlier you get your season pass, the more you save: remember that the water parks close in late September! (And your 2010 season pass will expire with them.) You can find out further information about season passes on the www.Knotts.com website, where you can also get information about combo season passes which include the Knotts Berry Farm theme park!
4.) Pepsi can discount for Knott's Soak City: Every year, Knott's Berry Farm and its Soak City water parks offer a Pepsi can discount at some time during the summer. Will they offer this special deal again during 2010? Probably...but it hasn't officially been announced yet.
6.) Entertainment Coupon discount/Buena Park location only: Do you have one of the popular, coupon-filled Entertainment books? The 2010 Orange County and Inland Empire editions both contain a discount coupon for Soak City Buena Park. (Other editions of the Entertainment Book do NOT have Soak City coupons.) If you don't know about Entertainment books, these are thick books which are stuffed with hundreds of local coupons for restaurants, attractions and stores.
