Visiting one of the Knott's Soak City water parks is a great way to cool down when summer's heat makes you feel like melting! With 3 different Southern California Soak City locations, you're probably living or vacationing fairly close to one of them. On this page, you'll discover a list of the attractions you'll find at Knott's Soak City, plus the info you need for planning an exciting outing to the location closest to you!

Knotts Soak City Attractions

Attractions at the Buena Park Soak City include the following: (1) the Pacific Spin bowl ride, on which you'll use a raft which holds up to 4 people; (2) Old Man Falls, which is tall platform from which you may enter 3 different speed slides; (3) Malibu Run, which is a tall platform from which you may enter 4 different slides that you'll ride on an inner tube; (4) Laguna Storm Water Tower, a platform from which you can enter either single or double inner tube slides; (5) Banzai Falls, a 6-lane speed slide which you descend head-first while riding on special mats; (6) Tidal Wave Bay, the park's giant wave pool; (7) Sunset River, the park's attractive "lazy river" style floating ride; (8) Toyota Beach House, the park's water-play area for older kids and adults; (9) Gremmie Lagoon, the park's pool and play area for toddlers, preschoolers and young children.

Knott's Soak City Hours of Operation

Soak City Buena Park/Orange County Hours

Picture: Soak City water slides fill the need for speed; this group of slides is called Old Man Falls Soak City's Buena Park location opened on May 24th for the 2008 Summer Season. Be aware that Knott's Soak City reserves the right to close early if the weather turns bad or if there are too few people in the park (which actually happened to our family at the end of May, 2008. The announced closing time was 6 pm; the park closed at 5 pm, nevertheless. There were very few people at the water park that day, so this probably won't happen to you if you visit on a busy summer afternoon.)

Here's the list of operating dates and hours for the rest of this water park's season, which runs through September, 2008:

JUNE hours at Soak City Buena Park: From Sunday, June 1st through Sunday, June 22, the Orange Co Soak City location opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm. Then, from Monday, June 23rd thru Monday, June 30th, Soak City Buena Park opens at 10 am but extends its closing time until 7 pm.

JULY hours at Soak City Buena Park: Every day in July, 2008, Knotts Soak City in Orange County observes an opening time of 10 am and a closing time of 7 pm

AUGUST hours at Soak City Buena Park:
Soak City in Orange Co will open at 10 am and close at 7 pm from Friday, August 1st thru Sunday, August 10th. Then, Monday thru Friday, August 11, 12, 13, 14 & 15, the water park opens at 10 am & closes at 6 pm. Saturday & Sunday, August 16 & 17, Soak City will open at 10 am & close at 7 pm. Monday, August 18th, Soak City opens at 10 am & closes at 6 pm. On Tuesday, August 19th, the Buena Park Soak City location is closed to the public. Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, August 20, 21 & 22, hours are 10 am to 6 pm. Saturday & Sunday, Aug 23 & 24, hours are 10 am to 7 pm. Monday thru Friday, August 25, 26, 27, 28 & 29, the park will open at 10 am & close at 6 pm. For the weekend of August 20 & 31st, hours are 10 am to 7 pm.

SEPTEMBER hours at Soak City Buena Park: On Monday, September 1st (Labor Day holiday,) Soak City hours are 10 am to 7 pm. Following Labor Day, the Buena Park Soak City location begins a "weekends only" schedule of operation. Every weekday (Monday through Friday) this location will be closed. On the following weekend dates, Knott's Soak City will observe hours of 10 am to 5 pm: September 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21. September 21st is the last day of the Buena Park Soak City's operating season. Beginning September 22nd, the park will be closed to the public until its 2009 operating season begins. (But, if you're looking for fun, the Knott's Berry Farm theme park stays open year-round! Soak City Palm Springs Hours of Operation for 2008

Picture: Knotts Soak City water slides called the Laguna Storm Watch Tower Thanks to the balmy Spring weather in Palm Springs, California, this is always the first Knotts Soak City location to open every year. During 2008, its opening date was March 17th---just in time for the busy Spring Break holiday!

Here are the Knott's Soak City/Palm Springs hours of operation for June, July, August and September, 2008:

JUNE hours for Soak City Palm Springs: Sunday, June 1st, the water park opens at 10 am & closes at 6 pm. Monday thru Friday, June 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, the Palm Springs Soak City location opens at 10 am & closes at 5 pm. Beginning on Saturday, June 7th, the entire rest of the month observes the same hours: opening time is at 10 am & closing time is at 6 pm.

JULY hours for Soak City Palm Springs: Every day in July, 2008, the Soak City Palm Springs water park will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm. This includes the 4th of July holiday, as well.

AUGUST hours for Soak City Palm Springs: From Friday, August 1st through Sunday, August 24th, Soak City will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm. Then, Monday thru Friday, August 25, 26, 27, 28 & 29th, the water park will open late at 11 am & close early at 5 pm. Saturday, August 30th & Sunday, August 31st, hours are 10 am to 6 pm

SEPTEMBER hours for Soak City Palm Springs: For the Labor Day Holiday, September 1st, the Soak City Palm Springs hours will be 10 am to 6 pm. Labor Day (which is on a Monday,) is the LAST weekday on which Soak City Palm Springs will be open during the 2008 season. ALL other Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in September, the park will be CLOSED. Good news, though---Soak City Palm Springs will stay open EVERY weekend day throughout September 2008! EVERY SATURDAY in September (the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th) Soak City Palm Springs will open at 10 am & close at 5 pm. EVERY SUNDAY in September (the 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th) the water park opens at 11 am and closes at 5 pm. Sunday, Sept 28th is the LAST day that Soak City Palm Springs will be open to the public for the 2008 operating season.



Knotts Soak City Hours of Operation -- San Diego/Chula Vista

Here are the park's operating dates and hours for June, July, August and September, 2008:

JUNE hours for Soak City San Diego: EVERY day of June, 2008, the Chula Vista Soak City will open at 10 am and close at 6 pm. The park is open both weekdays and weekends all month long.

JULY hours for Soak City San Diego: July 1, 2, 3 & 4th (the Independence Day holiday,) Soak City San Diego's hours will be 10 am to 6 pm. EVERY OTHER DAY of July 2008 (from 7/5 through 7/31,) the Soak City water park will open at 10 am and close at 7 pm.

AUGUST hours for Soak City San Diego: From August 1st through August 10th, the Chula Vista Soak City location will open at 10 am and close at 7 pm. Then, every day from August 11th through August 31st, the water park opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm.

SEPTEMBER hours for Soak City San Diego: Labor Day hours (September 1st) will be 10 am to 6 pm. Labor Day is the last date on which the park will be open daily; beginning September 2nd, Soak City San Diego switches to a weekends-only schedule of operation. On the following Saturdays and Sundays, Soak City will be open from 10 am to 5 pm: September 6 & 7; September 13 & 14; September 20 & 21. September 21st is the LAST day of Soak City San Diego's operating season for 2008. Beginning Monday, Sept 22nd, Soak City will be closed to the public until its 2009 operating season begins next spring.



Soak City Ticket Prices and Discounts

Full price Soak City tickets cost as follows: Adults (age 12+) pay $29.99 at the gate. Soak City tickets for kids ages 3 thru 11 cost $19.99. Seniors age 62+ also get tickets for $19.99. Babies and children age 2 & under get into Soak City free of charge!

SOAK CITY DISCOUNT TICKETS: How can you get discount tickets to Knotts Soak City?

1.) Southern California Resident's discount: If you bring proof of your residence in SoCal, you can get a discount ticket costing $25.99 at the Soak City turnstiles. There is no SoCal resident's discount for children or seniors.

2.) Print-at-home discount tickets: Soak City will give you a discount simply for printing your ticket at home before you head to the water park. The Print at Home discount price is $23.99. Kids and seniors do not get the print at home discount, because their $19.99 admission fee is already lower than this amount. To purchase print-at-home tickets from the Knott's official website, you may use the following link to the Knott's theme park and Soak City water park ticketing page on the www.Knotts.com website.

3.) Late afternoon admission: If you arrive at one of the Soak City Water Parks at 3 pm or after, you can get discount tickets costing adults only $19.99! You'll still have several hours to enjoy the water slides and wave pools...and you'll miss the peak hours of the sun's rays (so you'll be less likely to burn.) Kids and seniors get no late afternoon discount; they pay $19.99, as always.

4.) Pepsi can discount: The Pepsi can special has ended for 2008. This is an annual event; look for it again in 2009!

5.) New! Ralph's grocery discount: For July & August, you may purchase Soak City discount tickets for only $21.99 each; kids tickets (age 3-11) are $19.99. How? Head to your local Ralph's supermarket, where you can get tickets at these special cheaper prices by presenting your Ralph's Club Card. The last day to purchase the Ralph's Soak City discount tickets is September 2nd. You may use them any day through the Soak City 2008 operating season.

6.) New! Military discount! Soak City has announced a military discount valid through the rest of their operating season. By showing a valid military ID, adults can get discount Soak City tickets for only $21.99 and kids can get tickets for $17.99.

7.) Season Pass discount: If you love swimming and water activities, you may wish to visit Knott's Soak City again and again. Does this sound like YOU? If so, you'll save money in the long run if you get a Soak City season pass. The earlier you get your season pass, the more you save: remember that the water parks close in late September! (And your 2008 season pass will expire with them.

Prices for Soak City season passes: Adults and youth age 12+ pay $79.99 for a Soak City 3-park season pass. (There are no one-park passes being sold.) Kids age 3 thru 11 (and seniors age 62+) get cheaper season passes---only $49.99 each.
