Long-time residents to the area may remember a quiet mall...almost tomb-like in parts. Well, times change...and so has the South Bay Pavilion. You'll now see something here that you once may have thought impossible---a parking lot full of cars!
A very attractive and bustling Target store now takes the place of and entire HALF of the original mall's space. The townspeople love their new Target store; be prepared to "hike" to the front door from a parking spot a dozen or more cars away!
The ever-popular IKEA furniture and housewares store remains in place, along with the JC Penney's Department Store, Sears, Chuck E. Cheese pizza restaurant and other "old timers" at the mall. Along with them, expect to see new stores and eateries...and a shiny new 24 Hour Fitness health club building in the south parking lot.
Visitors to Los Angeles may not be able to recognize these changes...but they'll certainly know that this is a convenient shopping mall! Located immediately off of the I-405 Freeway in southern Los Angeles County, this mall sits directly in the path between a number of Southern California tourist attractions. Just a quick zip off of the exit, and a visitor will find dining and shopping options...without getting lost!

The South Bay Pavilion's hours are as follows: Mondays through Fridays, this rennovated Carson mall opens at 10 am and closes at 9 pm. On Saturdays, the Pavilion's opening time is at 10 am and closing time is at 7 pm. On Sundays, the mall's shops open at 11 am and close at 6 pm.
Each store or restaurant with an exterior exit is free to set their own business hours of operation, so there are exceptions to this general rule. Hours for the popular new Target store are: Mondays through Saturdays, Target opens at 10 am and closes at 10 pm. On Sundays, Target will open at 10 am but close at 8 pm. However, hours at the Target Pharmacy are shorter---Mondays thru Friday, the pharmacy hours are 9 am to 9 pm; Saturdays and Sundays the pharmacy opens at 9 am and closes at 6 pm.
The huge IKEA store hours are easy to remember; they're 10 am to 9 pm daily. Other stores, particularly the restaurants, set their own hours, as well; call in advance (using the contact numbers above on this page) if you've got a question about a particular store or restaurant's hours.
