Southern California Holiday Activities

Picture: Churro Stand at Disney's California Adventure theme park that's been decorated for the Halloween holidays Are you looking for some holiday fun in Southern California?

There are a number of SoCal holiday pages on this website covering major holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Halloween, Christmas and New Year's. You'll find details about events, decorations, costumes, etc, in the sections below on this page.

Photo note: A cute churro stand decorated with pictures of colorful yellow, orange and white candy corn is part of the Halloween holiday celebration at Disney's California Adventure Park in Anaheim, California. For those unfamiliar with what "churros" are, they're a long stick-shaped feathery-light piece of fried dough topped with sugar and cinnamon. These were originally a Mexican dessert treat...which the white, black and Asian residents of California quickly came to enjoy, as well!

If you'd like to try making churros at home, here's a tasty churro recipe from the www.cooking-mexican-recipes.com website, and it's even got photos to accompany the churro-making instructions!

Southern California Holiday Activities:

Valentine's Day

There wasn't an updated page of Valentine's Day activities this year (2007.) There were simply not enough FAMILY-style celebrations going on in Southern California. However, you can take a peek at last year's Valentine's Day page if you'd like to do that. You can see for yourself how much ISN'T going on!

You may check out last year's Valentine's Day activities at the "Valentine's Day Activities at Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm" page of this website.

Southern California Holiday Activities:

Easter & Spring Break

It isn't easy to get excited about 2007 Easter/Spring Break at Disneyland. The nighttime spectacular event, "Fantasmic" won't be playing this year. Other minor entertainment will try to fill the void, but it can't, really. (On the other hand, Disney's Electrical Parade WILL be playing nightly at Disneyland's sister park, The Disney California Adventure.) But, all in all, there's not much new going on for Spring Break at Disneyland this year...so I didn't bother to make a new page about it. If you'd like, you may look over last year's events on the "Spring Break at Disneyland 2006" page of this website. Or, you may discover the Spring Break 2007 hours of operation for Disneyland Park on the "Disneyland Hours" page of this website.
