On this page, you can look up Universal Studios Hollywood's operating hours for the day you plan to visit the theme park.Most of the year, the Universal Studios California theme park closes earlier than other Southern California theme parks. Even during the busy summer tourist season, with Universal Hollywood's longest hours of operation in effect, the park still closes earlier than other parks like Magic Mountain and Disneyland.
Don't be alarmed by the shorter hours at Universal Studios Hollywood, though. Many of the park's attractions take place in large, stadium-style auditoriums and seat hundreds of guests at one time. You'll probably get to see MOST of the attractions you'd like to enjoy despite hours of operation which seem to be "too short."
If you're not ready to end your day of fun when the Universal Studios theme park closes, you can easily spend the rest of the evening enjoying yourself at Universal Studios Hollywood's CityWalk. The Universal Studios CityWalk is a family entertainment district stuffed with interesting shops and restaurants...and even night clubs, for the adults in your group. In addition, you'll find an AMC multiplex cinema, street performers, and a form of outlandish architecture that's great fun to look at and enjoy. Even better---the shops, restaurants and night clubs in the adjacent Universal Studios CityWalk stay open later than the park does---often MUCH later!

Christmas Season is well underway this month, but the longer park hours and the crowds will not truly be here in force until the 2 week period before and after Christmas. Why is that? Because during the height of Christmas vacation time is when Universal Studio's major Christmas attraction...called Grinchmas will be running daily. In fact, you'll find plenty of Grinchmas fun going on every single day between December 17th and January 1st! Thursday, December 1 & Friday, December 2: Universal Studios Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm
Saturday and Sunday, December 3, 4: The park will be open from 10 am until 6 pm
Monday thru Friday, December 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: Theme park hours are 10 am to 5 pm
Saturday and Sunday, December 10, 11: Universal Studios Hollywood will be opening at 9 am and closing at 6 pm
Monday, December 12 thru Friday, December 16: Universal Studios Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm on these weekdays
Saturday and Sunday, December 17, 18: Universal Hollywood will be open from 9 am until 8 pm.
Mondayto Friday, December 19, 20, 21, 22 & 23: Universal Hollywood will be open from 9 am to 8 pm the week before Christmas

January, 2012 Hours---Universal Studios Hollywood
Now that the Christmas vacation season is over, things have calmed down at the park. The elbow-to-elbow crowds have subsided & the "slow" tourist season has begun. If you're heading to Universal Studios Hollywood, you've picked a good month for your visit! True, hours are shorter than during the holiday rush...but lines at the park are MUCH shorter! You'll be able to enjoy rides and attractions quickly...despite the fact that these same attractions required an hour's waiting time just a few weeks ago.

Monday, January 2: Universal Studios Hollywood will be opening at 10 am and closing at 7 pm today.
Tuesday through Friday, January 3, 4, 5, 6: Universal Studios Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm these four days.
Saturday and Sunday, January 7 & 8: Universal Hollywood will be opening at 10 am and closing at 7 pm this weekend
Monday thru Friday, January 9, 10, 11, 12 & 13: The park will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm on these weekdays.
Saturday and Sunday, January 14 & 15: Universal Studios Hollywood will be opening at 10 am and closing at 7 pm over the MLK holiday weekend
Monday, January 16: Universal Hollywood will be opens at 10 am and closes at 7 pm for the Martin Luther King Jr holiday.
Tuesday through Friday, January 17, 18. 19, 20: Universal Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm
Saturday and Sunday, January 21 & 22: The park will be open from 10 am until 7 pm this weekend
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, January 23, 24, 25, 26 & 27: Universal Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm on there weekdays
Saturday & Sunday, January 28 & 29: The park opens at 10 am and closes at 7 pm
Monday & Tuesday January 30 & 31: Universal Studios Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 5 pm on the last days of the month.
Universal Hollywood Hours, February 2012
February this year does have 29 days in it, and Universal Studios Hollywood is open every one of them. The weather can be cold or rainy, but is generally nice, and far better than most of the country. The park is generally open until 5 pm weekdays and 7 pm weekends, but the exact times are right here:Most Weekdays in February: Universal Studios Hollywood will open at 10 am and close at 5 pm every weekday of the month except for Monday, Feb 13, Friday, Feb 17, and Monday, Feb 20.
Monday, February 13, and Friday, Feb 17: These two weekdays, Universal Hollywood opens at 10 am and closes at 6 pm
President's Day Monday, February 20: The park opens at 9 am and closes at 7 pm this Presiden't Day
Weekdays in February: Saturdays and Sundays in February, Universal Studios Hollywood will be opening at 10 am and closing at 7 pm. The only exception is on Sunday, February 19, when the park will open one hour earlier, at 9 am, and close at 7 pm.
